Why I'm standing
I love our Carterton community. I live here with my partner and two children. I have a business in Carterton, and I am standing for council because I want to support Carterton to be a place where everyone can thrive. I want to listen to residents and bring their concerns to the council table to make good decisions which will lead to a positive future for our community.
About me
I am a resident, a local business owner, employer and a mum. This gives me a perspective of understanding what local businesses need, as well as thinking about decision making from a longer-term, intergenerational perspective. I am also studying for a Masters in Public Policy, and I am on the board of the Osteopathic Council of New Zealand. I am a big-picture thinker and I consider issues carefully in order to make good decisions. I am passionate about our community.
My priorities
- Reduce unsustainable rates increases to support residents with cost of living relief.
- Focus spending on core responsibilities such as roads, water and community infrastructure.
- Listen to residents and bring their concerns to the council table.
