Why I'm standing
Kirikiriroa has helped shape me into the person I am today. I've spent years committed to the kaupapa that reflects my values. I know how important it is for decision-makers to experience the frontlines of our communities and service providers. This election is the right time and space to share hope and I have an abundance of it. I believe my values and experiences are needed now more than ever.
About me
I bring a background of law, governance and community development across te ao Māori, local government and the charities sector. In the past three years I have advocated for workers rights, supporting rangatahi in the mental health sector and working with te iwi Māori to achieve their aspirations.
My priorities
- Honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi by funding He Pou Manawa Ora, the Māori strategy.
- Future-proof infrastructure as climate change is here and requires urgent action.
- Create a city that reflects diverse communities by providing targeted engagement for underrepresented groups.
