Why I'm standing
I am running for election because I believe Papakura has incredible potential to be a stronger, more connected community. For 21 years, I have lived, worked, and raised my family in the region, dedicating my career to empowering young people and supporting families. My motivation is to give back, to listen, and to use my skills and experience to help Papakura grow into a place where everyone feels proud to belong.
About me
I will make a good elected representative because I bring experience as an educator, business person, and community leader, including establishing schools for the Ministry of Education. Guided by a principle of empowerment, I am proactive and a strong communicator who listens and acts. I have proven I can connect with diverse communities, build trust, and deliver practical solutions that strengthen our neighbourhoods. My motivation is service, integrity, and community pride.
My priorities
- Build a more engaged board that listens and responds so community groups are not left behind.
- Finish Ōpaheke Park and upgrade play spaces to give families safe, quality recreational areas.
- Fix footpaths, clear drains and support weekly rubbish collections to create healthy neighbourhoods.
