Rotorua District Council

Te Ipu Wai Auraki General Ward
The Rotorua District Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of ten councillors and the mayor. Councillors are elected to represent wards (areas in the district). six councillors will be elected from the Te Ipu Wai Auraki ward. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. Why I'm standing

I think Rotorua can be the best place to raise a family, start a business and get ahead. I think Rotorua needs people with a positive vision to move our city foward. I have experience across business, community and the public sector - I know how to get things done.

About me

I grew up in Rotorua, spent time around NZ and abroad in business and public sector, I moved back to Rotorua to raise my son because I know this place is like no other. I believe in collaborative, positive and enduring solutions which improve our city for all. I have experience running a charitable trust and want to deliver for our community.

My priorities
  1. Restore confidence in Rotorua through smart investment in quality infrastructure, places and parks.
  2. Boost community safety by lighting our city and reforming dog control rules.
  3. Apply smart economic planning to attract investment and visitors to provide jobs and opportunities.
