Why I'm standing
I'm running because Wellingtonians have told me loud and clear that they want a city that's affordable, vibrant, safe, and easy to move around. I'm ready to deliver on that vision and build a city where everyone can thrive with more affordable housing and a vibrant inner city. We can't fix Wellington by going back to the way things were. With your support I will work tirelessly to make Wellington fit for the future.
About me
In my first year as your Councillor I've secured 183 affordable homes, with 500 more on the way; tripled investment in our critical water infrastructure; and decarbonised our pools to save the climate – and save you $10 million over the next 10 years. My track record shows I can work collaboratively across the council table to get sweeping support for initiatives that set our city up for success.
My priorities
- Deliver more affordable housing by switching the rating system so land bankers pay more.
- Back projects that make the city more vibrant – a city people are excited to move to, not leave.
- Deliver bus lanes and a cycle network to enable more affordable ways to get around the city fast.
