West Harbour Community Board

The West Harbour Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Dunedin City Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of six members. This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper.   • Back local biodiversity projects including pest control and native replanting.

    Reduce litter around beaches and Otago Harbour.

    Focus on reducing and reusing in line with the waste reduction hierarchy of reduce, reuse and recycle, as not enough attention is paid to the top two.

  • Champion improvements for a safer and more resilient water supply system in West Harbour.

    Advocate for more support to remove pest plants such as sycamore from West Harbour.

    Support work to improve local stormwater systems and creeks that feed into the Otago harbour.
