Why I'm standing
I am running for the Henderson-Massey Local Board because our diverse community deserves stronger representation and a louder voice in local government. I believe too often decisions are made without fully understanding our people's needs. I want every resident – regardless of background – to be heard, valued and included. I aim to listen actively, work collaboratively and help build a safer, more connected and more inclusive Henderson-Massey for everyone.
About me
I have lived and worked in Henderson-Massey for many years, serving as a senior lecturer, Justice of the Peace and school board member. I have professional experience, community involvement and strong connections across diverse cultural groups that give me a deep understanding of local needs. I am committed to fairness, transparency and genuine engagement. I will bring integrity, dedication and the ability to listen and work collaboratively to represent our community effectively.
My priorities
- Improve safety with better lighting, community policing and safer streets.
- Advocate for frequent, reliable public transport to connect communities.
- Upgrade parks, playgrounds and facilities for safe, inclusive use.
