Why I'm standing
I am standing because I believe Palmerston North has enormous potential, but too often decisions fail to reflect the city’s future needs. I bring charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent to the table, with the ability to connect across diverse communities, including our vibrant rainbow whānau. I have been motivated by years of advocacy, where I have seen how the right decisions can change lives. I am committed to ensuring the city works for everyone, in every neighbourhood.
About me
I have spent years working in grassroots advocacy, giving a voice to people who are often ignored. I have experience leading community organisations that has taught me how to navigate complex systems, make sound decisions and work collaboratively to get results. I am deeply connected to Palmerston North’s diverse communities, including rainbow whānau, and am respected for my integrity, determination and ability to listen. I will bring energy, independence and a strong commitment to fairness and transparency.
My priorities
- Strengthen community voice in council decisions to ensure fairness and transparency.
- Build a more inclusive city where diversity, including rainbow whānau, is celebrated.
- Ensure council spending supports local jobs and businesses, keeping money in the city.
