Why I'm standing
I am running because I want to buck up Waitematā and help get the national funk out of here. I want to get locals off the sidelines by rolling up our sleeves, having fun and shaping our city together.
About me
I bring an open heart and mind, sharp listening skills, clear communication and a knack for asking the questions that matter. I have years of journalism experience that taught me to cut through spin and find practical solutions. I am community-minded, value fairness and empathy, and follow through for all. I do not bark at every passing car but I am not afraid to tackle tricky issues with energy, humour and determination.
My priorities
- Get Waitematā moving because great cities are best explored on foot, by bike or public transport.
- Support parks, libraries, schools and spaces that make us proud to live here.
- Get locals involved in decisions and projects to create less "us vs them" and more "hold my beer, we've got this."
