Why I'm standing
As a three-term city councillor I know that courageous decision-making is key in the face of the climate crisis and uncertain economic times – mindful of our most vulnerable and underpinned by our relationship with mana whenua. I seek your support to continue this important work; to deliver what council has promised and finish what it's started.
About me
I have invaluable experience through my nine years as a city councillor and deputy mayor (2019-2022). Governance roles include deputy chair, economic development, RMA commissioner, trustee; St Paul's Foundation, Tūhura's board, Ashburn's board, chair, Study Dunedin. Professional careers span education, arts, tourism and business. Dunedin people are at the heart of my work. I'll serve you with integrity and genuine care, continuing to work tirelessly making evidence-based decisions for Ōtepoti's future.
My priorities
- Turn the climate crisis into an opportunity for the city.
- Address the housing crisis in Ōtepoti, including homelessness and the quality of housing stock.
- Ensure success of the Digital Interactive Health Project alongside the New Dunedin Hospital build.
