Why I'm standing
I love this city, and I want to see it thrive. Dunedin has suffered greatly from the government's cuts to our hospital, tertiary institutions and social housing, and the current council has failed to respond in a way that mitigates the harm – in fact it has made further cuts to our social housing programmes. Dunedin needs brave, progressive leadership that will make the city more resilient by investing in infrastructure and building the public good.
About me
Because I am prepared to work with whoever is around the council table to build public good in this city, I have experience in governance, managerial, and political roles, and I believe we can deliver for Ōtepoti if we work together. We want a diverse council, but not a divided one.
My priorities
- Build more homes and warmer homes in Dunedin.
- Increase support for, and consultation with, hard-working community groups.
- Make Dunedin more resilient by advocating for the necessary investment in infrastructure.
