Why I'm standing
I have lived in Dunedin for 17 years and I think that it is a great place to live, to work and to raise a family. I am an experienced ambulance paramedic. Through my family life and work I am in touch with all parts of society. I want to make Dunedin better for all. I want this city to be affordable and livable for all.
About me
I moved to Dunedin with the intention of staying for one year, 17 years ago. I love this place and with my family we are very settled here. Through family and community activities, my role as an ambulance paramedic and my former position as a prison chaplain at OCF, I have good community understanding. I have wide-reaching contacts and community understanding. I intend to advocate for all.
My priorities
- No further rates increases for this term. People cannot afford for their rates to increase.
- Eliminate homelessness in Dunedin through a compassionate, coordinated response. We have to do it.
- Combat the effects of climate change, especially in South Dunedin.
